A few five kilometers west of Ponta Delgada, facing the parishes of Santa Clara, Arrifes, Covoada, Capelas and Feteiras, is the parish of Relva, with about eleven square kilometers, already practically inserted in the urban fabric of Ponta Delgada.

Thus called because it was once a place of «good grass», where cattle went to feed, it was one of the first parishes in the municipality of Ponta Delgada to be constituted.

A parish characterized by the preservation of the most beautiful traditions, it maintains in operation many institutions linked to the most diverse activities: cultural, sports, recreational, social and religious.

The Valados Business Park is one of its main economic areas, with more than a hundred commercial and or industrial units.

It still has a precious legacy in Rocha da Relva, left by our ancestors. A place where it is still possible to wake up to the singing of birds and the murmur of the waves, it is a good tourist attraction for this parish.
