Água de Pau is a village that coincides territorially with the homonymous parish that is part of the municipality of Lagoa, on the south coast of the island of São Miguel, in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, in Portugal. It is situated about 17 km from Ponta Delgada and 7 km from the seat of the municipality.

The village parish of Água de Pau was elevated to the category of village by Regional Legislative Decree No. 29 2003 A.

It has an area of 17.43 km² and about 3000 inhabitants, with a population density of 175.4 inhabitants km².

A large part of its population is dedicated to agriculture and cattle raising, and it is also worth noting the number of those who work in construction, services and commerce. Handicrafts are strongly established in the locality, with wicker and weaving work being highlighted. - REF: 326/T/03510
